License terms

By buying, downloading, installing or using Praxis you agree to these terms, including section 4 on payment and section 6 about installing on Windows and macOS. If you do not agree, do not install it. Note that the download is immediate and all sales are final.
1. What you are buying
Praxis is software made by Praxis Plugins. When you buy it you get a license to use it, not ownership of the software itself. The license is for one person: you. It lets you install and use Praxis on up to 3 computers you own or control at the same time.
2. What you can do
- Use Praxis to make music, including music you sell, release or license to others.
- Use the included sounds inside your own music without paying anything more.
- Move the license between your own computers by freeing a slot and activating another.
3. What you cannot do
- Share, sell, rent or give your license key to anyone else.
- Redistribute the included sounds on their own, as a sample pack or sound library, in any form.
- Copy, decompile, reverse-engineer or work around the license check, or help anyone do so.
- Remove or change any notice about who made the software.
4. Payment
Praxis is a download. By buying it you ask for it to be made available to you straight away, and you accept that any right you would otherwise have had to cancel ends at that moment. All sales are final and we do not give refunds; the full policy is on therefunds page. If something does not work, write to us and we will sort it out with you.
5. Updates
Every future update to Praxis is included in your purchase at no extra cost. We decide what goes into an update and when one comes out. A different product we make later is not part of this licence.
6. Installing on Windows and macOS
Praxis is delivered directly by Praxis Plugins. It is not signed with a Microsoft or Apple developer certificate, so Windows and macOS show a warning the first time you run the installer and ask you to approve it yourself. The steps are in the FAQ and in your purchase email. By buying and installing Praxis you confirm that you understand this, that you choose to install it anyway, and that Praxis Plugins is not responsible for how your operating system, antivirus or security settings treat software that is not signed in this way.
7. Activation
The plugin activates online once per computer and then works offline. What it sends and stores is described in the privacy policy. If a payment for a license is reversed, the license stops activating.
8. Ending the license
The license ends if you break these terms. When it ends you must stop using the software and delete your copies.
9. No warranty
Praxis is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or fit every purpose. To the extent the law allows, Praxis Plugins is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the software beyond the amount you paid for it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes go to the courts of California.
